Summary: Non officer level position that reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for Bank’s general accounting functions, accounts payable, fixed assets, filing, and general office administration under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. Assists with the payroll and benefits administration functions.
Essential Functions:
Ensures all service level expectations are met. It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Adheres to sound accounting policies, reporting procedures and internal controls.
- Safeguards the company’s assets through adhering to appropriate controls, certifications and prudent audit procedures.
- Assists in the budgeting process for the Bank’s branches and departments by providing accurate cost accounting reports.
- Prepares management reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assists the Chief Financial Officer and other department members in special projects.
- Analyzes and interprets trends requiring management’s attention.
- Processes accounts payable in a timely manner, accurately codes transactions and allocates to cost centers.
- Responds to internal and external requests for information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provide back-up for payroll and employee benefits as needed.

Duration: May 26th-August 27th
Schedule: M-F 8-5

Skill Requirements:
- Degree in a field related to Accounting, or appropriate training at a business school.
- Three years or more of relevant experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
- Knowledge of internal controls and sound accounting practices, including GAAP.
- Knowledgeable in cost accounting, payroll processing.
- Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have a high level of personal integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team player while using discretion in decision making sound judgment in problem solving.

This position requires the ability to perform those activities necessary to complete the essential functions of the job, either with or without reasonable accommodation. Position may require frequent or continuous periods of talking, sitting, typing, repetitive motions of the hands/wrists, and good general vision and hearing. - Work is performed under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer
- Work closely with the Controller and Financial Analyst as a member of the accounting team
